<strong>The Queen St. West BIA has hired PMA Landscape Architects (working with Chris Hardwicke of &amp;Co and Janos Badovinac of Fugitive Glue) to create a Streetscape Master Plan. The final design will be revealed in November 2012.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Over $50,000 raised for the Starlight Foundation of Canada</strong></p>
<p>Over $50,000 was raised for the Starlight Foundation of Canada during this year&#8217;s Torontoland Snowman campaign. The Queen St. West BIA was proud to take part in this initiative with Tourism Toronto. Thank you to everyone who participated! Below is a photo our our snowman, designed by artist Melinda Josie.</p>

<p><strong>Outstanding Capital Streetscape Improvement Award</strong></p>
<p>On October 26th TABIA hosted the inaugural Toronto BIA recognition awards. We were nominated and won in the category of Outstanding Capital Streetscape Improvement Award for our custom designed bike racks by OCAD University Students Michael Pham (<em>Halo</em>) and Evi K. Hui and Olivier Mayrand (<em>Speech Bubbles</em>). BIA Chair Spencer Sutherland and Coordinator Laura Schaefer were present to accept the award from Councillor Michael Thompson, Chair of the Economic Development Committee, and TABIA President Michael Comstock.</p>
<p>A special thank you to our past chair Marc Glassman and the jury of the design contest&#8211;Councillor Vaughan, Lisa Rochon and Justin Garak, OCAD University, designers Michael Pham, Evi K. Hui and Olivier Mayrand, and Raj Kumar at the City of Toronto for all of their hard work on this project. It continues to put Queen St. West on the map!</p>
